You're saying you've got a REALLY old version of EADM, but you can't provide a link? Or can you? I'd like to have EADM 5.0.0.288, would you or someone be able to provide me of a link or file? Of course: the older the better. For example, EADM version 4.x would be even BETTER. I tried searching but couldn't find anything! So please provide a link to EADM 5.0.0.288. And if anyone reading this has got an even older version, please contact me!
EA Download Manager has been discontinued. The new platform is compatible with all Windows versions and it's heavily used to deliver and to acquire all EA games. You can download it from its official website.
How can I download EA Download Manager? I can't find the link. Can someone help me?

EA Download Manager is evolved in Origin, the new distribution system and platform for EA games. Since the product does not exist anymore on the official website, you need to use Google to search for a version.
Legally you can simply type in your activation code... which is only free if you previously bought the game on DVD. Otherwise EA Down loader is for EA company to make money... so not fore free. You need a P2P program for "free" games.
I press Play, but I can't play Sims 3. I install it using the code from the CD case. Can you help?

Huh? You do not know why you used your code? Your code when you log into your account allows you to download the game from their server... so that is why. In order to play the game the activation code most only be used once (if you bought from a friend it wont work). Any further questions let me know.
The error is caused by the bugs of the game, you need to update it. Register at the The Sims 3 website using the CD-key for your game then download the available patches and apply them to your game. On the other hand, Sims 3 requires Origin to work properly and patching could be done from Origin automatically when you add the game.
EA Download Manager has been superseded by Origin, which can be downloaded and installed free of charge from the official web page. Before to acquire the application, be sure that your computer meets the minimum system requirements:
Disk Space Available - 150MB; OS - Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, Windows Vista, or Windows 7; Processor - 1GHz; RAM - 512MB.
EA Download Manager was provided with games that were developed till 2012-2013. Nowadays, EA is using Origin to distribute their games. If you still have the game which supports this application, you can re-install it using the installer for that particular game.
The downloading process of my game is not finished. Why? I haven't downloaded anything. Can you help?

Did it start the download? If it is not finishing sometimes it has to close, authenticate, install, then you can play. If its not starting the download make sure you have registered a game and have it ready to be downloaded. If that is complete then make sure your firewall is not blocking it.
From the multiplayer screen, when I want to play on-line it wants me to type a password to create a new account. I have checked my current status with EA and my status is OK.

If you want to log-in with your account to play Command and Conquer: Zero Hour, then you need to download the new client from EA Games. It's called Origin. Download the client and install it then log-in with your username and password and you should be able to play. Additionally, note that the game is pretty old and there aren't people playing it anymore which means the multiplayer might not work as it should.
